Storm Water Engineering

From a light mist to a torrential downpour, all storm water flow needs to be properly modeled and accommodated. Storm water design is important during site development to keep parking lots from flooding to and keep the storm water out of the building. It is also important during the selection of pumps for a Storm Water Pumping Station: too small of a pump can cause the system to back up, but too large of a pump may cause the client to spend limited resources on something that they didn’t need. We strive to have the best design possible to help control costs for our clients, yet still meet their goals.

Webster, Foster & Weston has been involved in a variety of public and private storm water projects including the following:

  • Pump Station Design and Upgrades
  • Storm Water Collection
  • Control System Logic
  • Hydraulic Modeling
  • Detention Basins
  • Storm  Water Routing
  • Ditching
  • Surface Drainage
  • Forcemains
  • Energy Dissipaters
